Ponytail is a coding-agent skill/plugin package, not a standalone application. It installs via file copying (AGENTS.md, plugin configs, skill definitions). 'Install' means tests pass: npm test runs 84 unit tests plus pi-extension and ponytail-mcp subproject tests. The only fix needed was installing pandas (via pip3 --user) for the correctness benchmark CSV sum test. No run configuration required. Tested on Node v18.19.1, Python 3.12.3.
