What a verdict means, and does not mean

An Argusic verdict is a point-in-time measurement: whether our agents could install, launch, and verify a specific subject at a specific pinned version, under the published methodology. It is not a statement about code quality, security, the maintainers, or the future. A subject that could not be verified today may run perfectly tomorrow, and the reverse. Do not present a verdict as anything more than what its evidence shows.

Data license

Argusic's measurement data (verdicts, scores, run metadata, reports) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0: use it, share it, build on it, with attribution to Argusic and, where possible, a link to the run page it comes from. Repository metadata shown on subject pages belongs to its upstream sources and keeps their terms. The tested projects themselves keep their own licenses.

The badge

The "Tested by Argusic" badge may be embedded by anyone for a subject that has a published result, provided it links back to that subject's subject page, is not altered, and is not used to imply endorsement, ranking, or certification beyond what the linked page states.

Affiliate Disclosure

Argusic.com is reader-supported. This page explains our affiliate relationships and how we comply with disclosure requirements from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and our advertising partners.

FTC disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, Argusic.com discloses that we may earn a commission when you purchase through links on our site. This comes at no additional cost to you. These commissions help fund our research and keep Argusic.com free to read. Earning a commission never influences our editorial opinions or the products we recommend.

Amazon Associates Program

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Argusic.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of the product.

Affiliate links, product images, titles, and pricing data may be provided through the Creators API, Impact Integrations, CJ API, Awin API, FlexOffers API, or similar tools from our affiliate partners.

Social Media & FTC Compliance

When we share product recommendations on social media that include affiliate links, we clearly disclose the relationship in accordance with FTC guidelines. This is done by linking to this page or using clear language such as “#ad” or “#commissionsearned”.

Other affiliate partners

In addition to Amazon, Argusic.com participates in other affiliate programs and networks. When you follow a link to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from that retailer.

How commission affects what we publish

It does not, and that is enforced in the code rather than promised here: commission never affects an order, a score, or a number, and every such link says what it is at the link itself. Prices are read from a provider's own interface and shown with the time they were read; they go out of date, and the page says when. A price on this site is a record of what was seen at that moment, not an offer, and the seller's own price at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the service, probe or overload its infrastructure, or misrepresent Argusic data. Automated reading of public pages at reasonable rates is fine; that is what the data license is for.

No warranty

The site and its data are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Argusic's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law. If a provision of these terms is unenforceable where you live, the remainder still applies.
