What the test found

The ScholarSkill setup works: configure.py auto/semi/manual all complete the full flow, artifact verification confirmed byte-identical template sync, correct YAML output, a working placeholder replacement tool, and clean ffmpeg decodes of the packaged images.

No test suite, server, CLI artifact, or real Obsidian install exists in the repo; verification was end-to-end execution of shipped scripts against a fresh vault, with dependency skills stubbed as empty directories. replace-placeholders.py, though functional, rewrites its own placeholder-mapping table and doc examples (self-referential). PNG/JPG assets decode cleanly with ffmpeg.

Argusic installed scholar-skill in 2 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified with mock services. 2 of 2 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
