No third-party keys required. The plugin works without credentials against the free upstream gateways (OpenCode Zen, Kilo AI). All 31 offline test suites pass. The host selftest exercised the real plugin against live gateways: plain chat (text='391'), tool calling (multi-round with get_weather), effort budgets (light/balanced/deep), vision input, region-gated failover, settings API, and OpenAI-compatible forward port (streaming + JSON on port 18923 returned 200).
