magpie CLI binary builds and runs, all 32 test packages pass, the gateway serves HTTP 200 on /v1/models, and commands like --help, version, ls, and serve all work correctly.

Go 1.26.3 had to be downloaded from golang.org/dl because apt requires root. Built the CLI-only binary with CGO_ENABLED=0 and -tags nogui. All 32 Go packages pass tests. The gateway server starts and responds correctly.
