What the test found

Cassandra 7.0-SNAPSHOT builds and passes targeted unit tests (StorageServiceServerTest, VerifyTest) and checkstyle/lint checks with JDK 11 + Ant 1.10.14, both installed from tarballs.

No system packages could be installed (no root/sudo). JDK and Ant were downloaded as tarballs into /home/runner and used directly. Docker not available. The CassandraDaemon startup fails without a configured storage directory (expected — needs cassandra.storagedir or conf/ adjusted). All unit tests run pass.

Argusic installed cassandra in 10 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 2 of 2 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
