Zappa 0.62.1 installed from source in a Python 3.12 virtualenv; CLI responds with version and help; 96 unit tests pass covering handler, middleware, ASGI, async, utilities, and placebo-mocked AWS interactions.

Installed from source via 'pip install -e .' in venv. CLI binary works (zappa --version → 0.62.1). 96 tests passed: all 26 utilities, 29 handler, 19 asgi, 7 middleware, 6 async, 1 docs, 8 core (no-AWS), 2 placebo. Remaining ~164 core tests require real AWS credentials (Zappa init creates 16 boto3 clients) and could not be run. Also a small pre-existing test bug in test_copy_editable_packages was fixed (VIRTUAL_ENV check prior to Path()).

Argusic installed Zappa in 1.5 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified with mock services. 2 of 2 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
