selectolax is a pure C-extension Python package using Cython and the Lexbor HTML engine. Two issues: (1) system Python is externally managed, requiring a venv; (2) python3.12-dev headers are absent (downloaded from Ubuntu archive). After these workarounds, all 279 tests pass and the library correctly parses HTML and runs CSS selectors.
