What the test found

A preserved Vector binary reports version 0.59.0-dev-custom-3ce1054, validates a YAML config, and successfully processed three sentinel log records through demo_logs, remap, and console with no stderr output.

The verified runtime binary is /home/runner/.local/bin/vector (664 MB). The full default build also succeeded in 27m04s, but its larger artifact was removed during disk recovery; the preserved binary uses sources-demo_logs, transforms-remap, sinks-console, and vrl-functions-env. markdownlint-cli2 is unusable on the image's Node 18 because it requires Node 22; prettier and rustfmt work. Docker/podman integration tests were not run.

Argusic installed vector in 76 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 7 of 7 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
