What the test found
Valkey server builds, installs, starts, accepts basic SET/GET/INCR commands via RESP protocol, and shuts down cleanly. Unit tests compile and most pass when run directly, but the gtest_parallel runner has a timing issue and the test suite has pre-existing test-pollution segfaults. Integration tests are blocked by missing Tcl runtime.
Build succeeds with the 'QUITE_GEN' typo fix. Server starts, responds to PING/SET/GET/INCR commands, and shuts down cleanly. Unit test binary compiles and links successfully with locally-built googletest, but the test runner (gtest_parallel) fails with 'Text file busy' on the binary. Running valkey-unit-gtests directly passes the vast majority of tests. Integration tests cannot run due to missing Tcl. This is a dev-environment gap, not a code defect.
Argusic installed valkey in 9 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 4 of 4 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
