What the test found
mingw-w64 cross-compiler and Wine 9.0 were extracted from Debian packages and partially configured. A minimal C program cross-compiles to a Windows PE binary (249701 bytes). However, wcap source code cannot be compiled due to missing Windows Graphics Capture API types in mingw headers (74 errors), and the pre-built executable cannot run under Wine due to missing CoreMessaging.dll and other Windows 10+ system DLLs.
wcap is a Windows-only screen recording utility depending on Windows 10+ APIs (Windows Graphics Capture v0x130000, Direct3D 11, Media Foundation, CoreMessaging). Cross-compilation with mingw-w64 GCC 13 fails with 74 type errors because mingw-w64 v11 headers only support Graphics Capture contract v0x60000. The pre-built binary requires CoreMessaging.dll and other Windows system DLLs unimplemented in Wine 9.0. No third-party credentials are needed; the app consumes only native Windows OS APIs. This is not a build configuration issue - the software is fundamentally incompatible with Linux.
Argusic could not fully install wcap; verification reached Nothing verified. 0 of 3 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
