Built a full mock of Claude Desktop's /usr/lib/claude-desktop/resources with proper app.asar (.vite/build/index.js containing main_view_dom_ready handler + DesktopIntl requestLocaleChange/dispatchLocaleChanged) and ion-dist/i18n/en-US.json. Verified: patch_linux_asar.py successfully locates ASAR bundles, injects 975 DOM translation strings, adds __claudeZhOnlineLocaleMain + __claudeZhLocaleLock markers, and patches DesktopIntl locale lock — confirmed via byte scan. Frontend bundle whitelist patched with zh-CN + display name patch. All 16 resource JSON files valid. JSON merge (en-US base + zh overlay) works. Both Python scripts compile without errors. Full install_linux.sh fails only at sudo check (expected, no root in container). The core patching mechanics work end to end.
