What the test found

npm install, npm run build, and npm run setup succeed; all 1870 tests pass; the Nerve server starts on port 3080 and serves HTTP API endpoints (health, connect-defaults, version, server-info) with gateway reachable via a mock.

Node.js 22 was required but only v18 was available on the system; downloaded and used Node 22.20.0 binary. OpenClaw gateway was not installed, so a mock HTTP+WebSocket gateway was stood up on localhost:18789 for end-to-end verification. The server requires a real OpenClaw gateway for full functionality (sessions, memory, cron, kanban, etc.) — the mock answered health and tool invoke endpoints only.
