Forge installs cleanly in a venv, all 20 unit tests pass, forge plan and forge run complete end-to-end with mock backends and produce a valid MP4 output file.

No real API keys needed. The mock backends handle LLM, ImageGen, VLM, and all video generation. The default forge.yaml routes to kling/cogvideo backends that fall back to MockPipeline when dependencies (kling SDK, diffusers/torch) are absent. Tests cover CPM scheduling, DAG topology, DAG validation, and the full scheduler — all 20 pass.
