LEANN Python packages installed, HNSW backend with custom-built Faiss SWIG module works, CI tests pass, README HNSW examples pass with mock embeddings, DiskANN backend blocked by missing libaio system dependency.

Core HNSW backend works. DiskANN backend requires libaio, Boost, and protobuf system packages (cannot install without root). CI minimal tests (4/4) pass and README HNSW example tests (2/2) pass using deterministic mock embeddings. Full end-to-end search requires sentence-transformers model loading which fails due to transformers/torchvision version conflict.

Argusic installed LEANN in 85 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified with mock services. 7 of 8 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
