What the test found
In this container, mimi builds cleanly (all check.sh gates green) and the dev binary launches and stays up on the Xvfb display with settings, overlay, control and tray windows mapped, its UI-test synthetic session toggling between listening and idle via the Ctrl+Shift+Space global shortcut; real provider calls and full JS rendering were not exercised.
Canonical ./scripts/check.sh printed 'All checks passed.': shared-core tests (8 native + 72+1+2 Rust), desktop cargo fmt, cargo clippy -D warnings --all-targets, cargo test 1059 passed/0 failed/12 ignored, eslint clean, vitest 110 files/1444 passed, updater manifest 6 tests, production build + 8 debugger-boundary tests, git diff clean. The repo was not modified. GUI launch: patched-sysroot binary ran under Xvfb+dbus with windows mapped (mimi UI test settings 760x720, mimi Subtitles (dev) 659x328, mimi (dev) 200x149, tray), synthetic session reached 'listening', and a live xdotool Ctrl+Shift+Space round-trip moved session-state listening->idle->listening. WebKit child processes ran from the patched path. JS frontend-ready IPC markers and provider calls were not observed, so verification of provider behavior is not claimed; only repo-supplied UI-test stubs and native lifecycle were exercised.
Argusic installed Mimi in 36 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified with mock services. 7 of 8 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
