What the test found

Go toolchain, etcd, and the 37 non-rocksdb packages build cleanly; 313 tests pass; a real etcd + gazette serve broker accepted gazctl journal creation, append, and read round-trips, and persisted decodable fragments to the file store; only the RocksDB-backed consumer-store packages remain unbuildable for lack of RocksDB headers.

Installed Go 1.27.2 and etcd 3.6.5 from official prebuilt tarballs into /tmp/tools (no root, system packages unavailable). RocksDB-backed store packages could not be built because the pinned gorocksdb wrapper needs RocksDB C headers whose C API no longer matches current RocksDB; recorded as a genuine gap, everything else built and tested. End-to-end broker run used real etcd, gazctl apply/append/read, and file-store fragment persistence.

Argusic installed core in 35 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 4 of 4 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
