What the test found
Both release binaries build and run: wordcraft opens a live 1280x800 window on DISPLAY=:99 and answers control commands, wordcraft-cli converts the sample to docx/pdf/odt/rtf/html/md/tex/txt with PDF text and pages decoding correctly, MCP creates and saves a readable DOCX, and all 1458 tests pass with fmt, clippy, assets, layers and wasm gates green.
Rust and Carlito were installed user-locally outside the repo; no system packages, keys, or mocks were needed. The desktop app has no --help flag. The 3 initial layout test failures were caused by missing Calibri-metric fonts and disappear once Carlito is installed; the README does not state this requirement. Repo left with git status clean. Headless MCP save_document round-tripped a DOCX read back by wordcraft-cli text.
Argusic installed wordcraft in 9 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 5 of 6 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
