With Node.js 20.18.0 from a bundled nodeenv on PATH, all 175 repo tests pass, the English EPUB builds with 54 valid Mermaid diagrams, the static website builds and serves HTTP 200, and all doc-quality checks (cross-references, links, mermaid, markdown rendering) pass.

Python 3.12 venv + requirements-dev.txt installed cleanly. Node 20.18.0 obtained via pre-commit's nodeenv (no root). pre-commit run --all-files itself cannot run because the config pins python3.11 which is not installed; the five doc checks it wraps all passed individually. No repo files were modified.
