What the test found
Python backend starts and completes full initialization (Whisper model, CTranslate2, OSC), Vite frontend builds and serves, all 936 pytest tests pass, OCR engine is ready with downloaded models, Rust toolchain installed; Tauri native build blocked by missing webkit2gtk-4.1 system libraries (not installable without root).
Python backend initializes end-to-end: starts, downloads Whisper base model weights, downloads CTranslate2 model weights, detects no audio devices (expected on headless Linux), starts OSC/VRChat query, completes with 'End Initialization' and sends /run/initialization_complete with full config. Vite builds and previews on port 4317 (HTTP 200). OCR engine is available (rapidocr with PP-OCRv6 models fetched). All 936 pytest tests pass (18.5s). Rust 1.99.1 installed from rustup but Tauri build blocked by missing system libraries (webkit2gtk-4.1, libsoup-3.0, javascriptcoregtk-4.1 dev packages). On a proper Windows dev environment or a Linux system with those libraries, the full Tauri build should work with no further changes. The shims in the venv site-packages use a .pth file guarded by os.name != 'nt' so they never interfere with a real Windows install.
