PouchDB installs, builds, all 2115 unit/component/integration tests pass, and the library works for put/get/destroy operations with both default leveldb and memory adapters on Node.js 18.

Built and tested PouchDB v7.0.0-prerelease. Node 18 has no URL.parse (added in Node 21). The fix used new URL() instead. All 2115 tests across unit, component, and integration suites pass using the built-in pouchdb-express-router server (no real CouchDB needed).
