The driver builds and installs cleanly, the full 11-target CTest suite passes against a locally run MongoDB 8.0.4 server, and a consumer program compiled against the installed driver successfully inserted and read back a document.

Built mongo-cxx-driver master (0.0.0) from source: configure fetched mongo-c-driver 2.5.4+Catch2, full Debug build and cmake --install to build/install succeeded. Used official MongoDB 8.0.4 tarball (no root needed). cmdmon/crud/rwc/txn per-suite binaries pass all assertions when given their *_TESTS_PATH env vars; client_side_encryption_specs skipped (needs cloud KMS creds). Directly running spec binaries without CTest env vars fails by design (tests_path null-string) - not a defect.
