Backend Python venv installed with all core deps, PostgreSQL 16 running on port 5432, Redis 7.4.1 running on port 6379, Node.js v22 deployed, pipecat submodule installed editable, FastAPI app imports with speechmatics as the only blocking provider, 493/514 collectable tests pass against real services.

Real PostgreSQL and Redis stood up from pre-built binaries. 493 tests pass, 5 fail (missing optional speechmatics SDK), 16 error (missing pgvector extension). Test suite exercises both real DB (HTTP route tests with alembic migrations) and non-DB tests (logging, DTO, SDK, MCP, workflows). The app loads fully when all deps present but speechmatics import blocks startup.
