What the test found
The Otari LLM gateway installed from source with uv, boots as a standalone server on port 8000 serving the management API, bootstrap, health, docs, OpenAPI spec, and tutorial root page, and the OSS edition smoke test exercises all key lifecycle stages (health, bootstrap, user/keys, providers, routing, completions, usage, mail) against a mock provider.
No Docker available so integration tests requiring PostgreSQL were skipped. The OSS edition smoke test (scripts/oss_edition_smoke.py) passed end-to-end: health probes, bootstrap, user/key creation, BYO provider credential storage, fallback-routed completion served by a mock provider, usage readable, mail unconfigured and honest about it. The server booted and answered 200 on /api/v1/bootstrap, /, /api/v1/docs, /api/v1/health and all health sub-paths, the OpenAPI spec (193 paths) returns 200, and unauthenticated chat completions correctly returned 401. Focused unit test suites ran and passed (339+ tests across 6 modules).
