What the test found

The Home Assistant blitzortung integration builds on Python 3.14.9, passes all 98 tests plus ruff/prek checks; ws-client connects to the live blitzortung websocket and relays decoded lightning strikes to a verified local MQTT broker and stays running, after an asyncio fix for Python 3.14; only the upstream strike-frame decoding beyond the first frames remains unverified.

98 test suite tests passed; local amqtt MQTT broker end-to-end verified (subscribe -> publish -> delivery) with paho 1.5/amqtt; ws-client connects to MQTT and live blitzortung wss, decodes and relays strikes, stays running. Live upstream decode of strike frames fails with the repo's pinned client code and is the only unresolved item. venv is venv314 (Python 3.14.9) with the CI toolchain; single tracked fix is the asyncio.run change.

Argusic installed homeassistant-blitzortung in 32 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified running for real. 2 of 3 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
