What the test found
With the mock Bitwarden running and the patched env, `./venv/bin/python app/main.py` runs to completion as a non-root user, logs successful SDK login, secrets retrieval, ZIP creation, and hash, and the produced encrypted backup zip decrypts to the mock vault.
No repo tests exist. Verification used a schema-correct local mock Bitwarden (TLS on 127.0.0.1:8495) built from the bitwarden-sm/bitwarden-core official test fixtures: access-token login (0.<uuid>.<secret>:<16B base64>), /connect/token JWT with organization claim, encrypted payload, and real AES-256-CBC-HMAC-encrypted secret responses. The real bitwarden-sdk 2.1.0 authenticated against it and returned secret value 'TEST'. Then app/main.py ran end to end. Also fixed two pre-existing runtime bugs found en route (undefined bw_bin in is_vault_unlocked, PermissionError on /root). A 'real credentials required' note applies only to features skipped because their env vars were empty (all notification/cloud uploads) and to the bw CLI itself, which is mocked, not the real Bitwarden binary.
Argusic installed lazywarden in 6 minutes and launched it; verification reached Verified with mock services. 5 of 5 recorded errors were worked through (see the timeline below).
