ViNote v1.4.0 backend serves SPA on port 8999, SQLite initialized with 17 categories, all 50+ API endpoints respond, full test suite passes (214 backend + 18 frontend + media smoke).

Node 18.19.1 is below Vite's required 20.19+ but the build still succeeded. Requires OPENAI_API_KEY for LLM features; runs fine with empty key using fallback text processing. No root for system packages.
